Goch. In the middle of the Kleve region, at the border between Germany and the Netherlands, you'll find the pilgrimage town of Goch. This town has a total population of 34,000 and a surface of 115 square km. Goch presents itself as a modern centre with a large variation of industries and a great number of leisure activities. Many visitors enjoy going to the recreational area “Reichswald", which consists of 5,000 hectares of woodland. Swimming pool Goch-ness is also very popular.
The town also features a nice municipal park. The Maria-Magdalena Church can be visited in the old city centre. The Graefenthal Monastery, where beautiful Christmas markets are organised, is also worth a visit. It is also a nice town for shopping, with many terraces and restaurants.
Arcen is a true gem for tourists who visit Maasduinen. This former fortified town is located between the Meuse and the border with Germany.
